The Parade Room is our brand new restaurant providing a spectacular dining experience in a relaxed & atmospheric setting within the former 1907 police station Parade Room which has been lovingly restored to celebrate the spaces unique past and original features. 

Our Parade Room menu is served every evening from 5.30pm offering fantastic value with two courses for £19.50 and three courses for £25.50. 

Choose between the Parade Room or one of 4 restored former police cells for a more intimate setting. 

  • As venue sponsor of The Marlowe Theatre, presentation of a Marlowe Theatre ticket provides a complimentary glass of Chapel Down Brut or one of our selection of Curious drinks! (within two days of your show date).
  • Please note tables of 7+ will be located in one of the cells on the ground floor in most instances, please contact us for details.  
  • Our British Small Plates menu is also served in the ground floor bar between 12pm & 9pm Monday - Saturday for which booking is not required.

All receipts provide complimentary entry to the Westgate Towers Museum & Viewpoint to enjoy Canterbury's finest view from the battlements. Receipts also include a complimentary 10% discount to our award winning Escape Room experience Escape In The Towers

Food In KENt's best bar

The Pound Bar & Kitchen is set within Canterbury's atmospheric former City Gaol & Police Station which is perfect for spending time with family & friends in our relaxed & atmospheric setting. 

Our British Small Plates menu is served in The Pound Bar & Terrace Monday - Saturday from 12pm - 9pm. 

The Gaoler's House and Police Station have been lovingly restored to celebrate the building's unique past, allowing you to explore one of the 3 original police cells and former Felons' Day Room in which you can enjoy our bar food and award-winning cocktail menu.

Reservations are not taken in the bar, however our deliciously British Parade Room Menu is also served in the first floor Parade Room each evening from 5.30pm. Roasts are served 12pm - 4.30pm Sunday.

Sunday roasts & CELL FEASTS

Perfect for gatherings with friends & family our delicious Sunday Roast menu is available every Sunday from 12pm - 4.3opm. Alongside the full roast menu in The Parade Room we also offer a Sunday Small Plates menu in the bar. 

For special occasions we also offer Cell Feasts for groups of 6 or more in our beautifully restored former police station cells for unique and intimate gatherings! Choose an individual starter and then enjoy one of our spectacular sharing feasts with main course and desert options to share. If you fancy making a day of it, our Escape Room can be booked to enjoy before your feast!
